Significance

Upon entering the temple, one’s gaze is immediately drawn towards the remarkable sight of 1000 Sivalingas housed within a square enclosure. Each of these Sivalingas represents the divine presence of Lord Siva, invoking a sense of reverence in the hearts of those who behold this remarkable sight.
Nestled amidst the sanctum’s ethereal ambiance, lie 365 Sphatika Sivalingas. In the centre of this divine congregation is the Panchabootha Lingeswara Swamy, a manifestation of Lord Siva encompassing the five elements of nature. Within the central sanctum, 364 Spatika Lingas symbolize each day of the year, while the pinnacle is adorned with one additional linga, totaling 365. Performing Rudrabhisheka to the Panchabootha Lingeswara Swamy once is akin to performing Rudrabhishekam an entire year.
